Doodle Rescue Collective said… - Oh, because this site was linked there. There doesn't seem to be much info yet on the awarenessday.org site. I was linked here, I guess from last year. I have a Ning site so I am familiar with this platform. Will you be there this year? Perhaps you could recommend a h/motel allowing dogs close to everything? I'd like to book early so as not to miss out. I'd appreciate your choice. Thanks so much.

All of us need to spread the word about puppymills and pet stores. Please, don't think I'm downplaying the significance of this day. Not at all!!!
Keep up the good work that you do!! Let's rid PA of puppymills forever!!

Oprah did a follow up today on the puppy mill story. She said it was the biggest response she ever got to on a subject. I think the public is starting to get it. That is what we have been trying to get done. We can now say "As seen on Oprah".
I think we need to put pressure on PA. Don't want to have to wait until September to make a difference. I would like to see the mills that those dogs on Oprah came from. Closed down. Lets let PA throw us a bone. Perhaps we should start a email or letter writing campaign to the governor, demanding to know what is being done about the mills show on Oprah

Another idea is to take all the Oprah.com comments. Go on there because that is where the largest puppy mill discussion in the world is. Post about this, w/o using a url and they will come!
