Carol Araneo-Mayer said… - Sorry Sherry: Just saw your message about the hotels. Not sure if you found a place to stay. There are lots of hotels in the area we have stayed at over the last 6 years. If you are bringing a pet if it harder to find a place, but you can try the Super 8 and Motel 6.

It's going to be creepy being so close to the puppy mills and not being able to get the dogs out of there!
My group and I are scheduled for a huge protest this Saturday! Were also doing a billboard on our local highway! :)

- I've been helping with animal rescue for years now. I adopted all 4 of my little baby boys through petfinder. I flew to Florida from NH on 3 seperate occassions. Last time, came back with two. Just couldn't leave this special little one eyed boy behind... Blazer, Stoney, Spirit and Spunky. :) 3 Pekingese and 1 Shih Tzu. My Shih Tzu is my favorite but don't tell my other boys that. LOL.
I learned about the horrors of Puppy Mills from the Oprah Show! I am a changed person since that day. From that moment I knew this was a wrong I could NOT ignore. I've been protesting our local pet stores every other weekend since! Were now fund raising for a billboard with Jana Kohl's print from her bus for the billboard....... The Petland store owner wants to meet with me. My vet, a Peta member and the head of New Hampshire Animal Rights League will all be present. Our goal is to encourage Mr. Korek, (have a better name for him but I'll be respectful), the store owner to stop selling puppies and agree to work with local shelters and rescues. I just came back from Taking Action for Animals Conference in DC with HSUS lobbying on Capitol Hill against these houses of horror..... I won't rest until this greedy industry is put out of business!!! Love to all of you who are fighting the fight....
