I will be at Pet Food Warehouse showing a Puppy Mill DVD and handing out brochures while raising money for our Mile of Money Campaign for spay and neuter.
Our Puppy Mill Awareness Event was a success. We actually had a reporter stop to see what we were doing. I explained what a puppy mill was and he wanted to do an article for the BBC. It was going to be in Arabic. I am going to check out the BBC to s…
We will stand and hold signs at 555 Shelburne Rd this Wednesday August 19th from 5 to 7 pm to help shed the light on Puppy Mills and the cruetly involved.
I think we've met at a GMAD event. My avatar is Paris a Good Karma dog that although not a puppy mill dog had just as hard of as life until she landed in rescue via the side of the road!
So far just an individual.... but I would love to join some sort of local group. I live in Phoenix. I have looked into fostering puppy mill rescues but worry that my husband and I don't have enough time to devote to those poor dogs. We both have full time jobs and I am afraid it might be a lot for a puppy mill survivor to be in the house all alone (with my other two rescued dogs that as far as I know, aren't mill dogs) all day.
Thank you for your welcome! I only recently learned the truth about the horrors of puppy mills. I rescued two dogs (one from the pound and one from a rescue league) and it breaks my heart that there are so many dogs that need homes while these awful puppy mills continue to torture their breeders and breed more puppies. :(
Great job Lindsey. Send up pictures from the protest

About me:
I started an anti Puppy Mill Campaign this past year in So. Burlington, VT after going into a Pet Store in a mall in Albany, NY. I felt that I had to try and do something to educate the public and make people aware of the cruelty involved with Puppy Mills. Vermont has one Pet Shop. I want to help people understand why they should not purchase a pet from the Internet, Pet Shops or backyard breeders. As a group we hold signs to educate, table at events, anything we can do to reach the public. Vermont does not have laws in place to protect dogs from the misery of overbreeding. It is my hope, thru our efforts along with others that more people will get behind this issue and make Puppy Mills a thing of the past.
