This will be our first PMAD as a group. We have booked a hotel, we will have a table and participate in the parade. Our question is...What should we bring or be prepared for?
We have banners and give-a-ways, but do we need to bring a table? What else do you recommend?
How can we participate like veterans and not look like this is our first time?
I have checked your table reservation. You said you were not bringing a table. We can provide you with a picnic table which is at the park. Most groups do perfer to bring a table after their first year, as the picnic tables have benches attached and they are very heavy. It will be up to you. Bring something to drape over the table whether you bring your own or not. Believe me it doesn't matter if this is your first or 6th time. You will be fine. We provide lunch, but it is a long day so if you want to bring a snack for breakfast or later in the afternoon. you can do that. If you are bringing dogs make sure to pack what they will be eating
Thanks, so much. We will bring our own tables then. I have a couple folding tables and chairs and I'll have a pop up tent also. If you think of anything else, please let us know.
Just out of curiosity, what are you having for lunch? I will have some folks with us who refuse to eat or buy anything that comes from Lancaster County. Thanks for the advice and hope to meet you there.
Always be prepared for bad weather. Bring some extra food even though we provide a lunch for everyone!! The usual, doggie waste bags, if you are selling items to raise money, bring change!!!! Singles and fives are always a good idea and there will be someone that needs them next to you, so you can help as well!
Plus comfortable clothes and sneakers! Literature...
A positive attitude and a smile!!! Mingle Mingle Mingle.. get to know everyone!! Just be yourselves and have a great time!!!!
We've been gearing up all summer and are looking forward to it. What time should we plan to get to the park on Saturday?
Also, we don't have tickets for Friday night yet because we don't know how many of us are coming yet, can we get tickets that night or should I try to get a head count before then and call them in? Are there any other get together's planned for Fri or Sat night? We booked The Hawthorn Hotel and would love to mix and mingle with others.
Try to be there no later than 10 am. As for Friday night. Presently there are tickets available I am not sure if they will sell out or not. Perhaps sign up as many as you know about now so that at least some will be able to attend if we sell out. We have about 50 seats left.
